Our registered address is 7 Bank House, Broadway, Sheerness, Kent, ME12 1TW.

SLGM Ltd are regulated by the FCA. FRN is 999705 and can be checked on the FCA Register by visiting www.fca.org.uk.

We are also registered with the ICO and do not use it for anything other than what you agree for it to be used for. Our ICO number is ZA123430.

What we offer

We offer the ability to compare non-investment insurance deals and contracts.

Our website is free to use and there is no direct charge from us to you for the use of our site. Any charges applicable to any service after use of our website will be outlined and made clear to you by the intermediary or provider you use.

On submitting your details, both our partners and ourselves will contact you to start the process of finding your requested insurance. This will be carried out by telephone but email and text messages may also be used.

Your Responsibility

The intermediaries we pass you to will provide quotes based on the information you provide them. It is essential that you provide accurate answers to all questions asked in order for our partners to provide a true quote. Failure to provide such accurate information may result in insurers not paying out in the event of a claim.

We do not check the information you provide us through our forms or telephone operators. Connected partners are recommended purely on the information you have provided.

It is essential that you check and review all documentation sent to you by any intermediary or provider. It is your duty to inform the provider of any problems or wrong information.

Our Responsibility

We do our best to ensure all information provided to our brokers is correct but take no responsibility for any errors. It is for you to correctly identify any discrepancies when confirming details with the providers.

We accept no responsibility for the terms or conditions you accept when entering into a contract with a provider. Any problems that may arise from the agreement you enter must be taken up directly with the chosen provider.

Agreement

By using our website to either submit your details by form or call into our call centre, you are providing SLGM consent to hold and process your provided data in order for us to provide you with our services. You also agree to allow our partners provide you with their quotations for your desired insurance policy.

By providing SLGM with your data, you agree to be contacted by both SLGM and our broker partners by phone, text, email or post.

By submitting your details to us via form fill or call, you also agree to allow us to send you low level additional marketing that may help you save more money. This may be done by either call, email or post.

If you do not agree with these terms and conditions, then we ask you to refrain from using our website any further.

Third Parties

In a few instances within our website, we provide links to 3rd party providers where you can obtain services direct. We do not accept responsibility for any claims, statements, content or products provided by these providers.

SLGM Ltd use Google to provide us with useful information on user behaviour and patterns in order to better provide you with services in the future. This data does not identify you and cannot tell who you are. This data is not provided to any third parties either.

Changes to this agreement

From time to time, we may use customer information for new, unanticipated uses not previously disclosed in our privacy notice. If our information practices change at some time in the future, we will post the policy changes to our website to notify you of these changes and provide you with the ability to ‘opt out’ of these uses. If you are concerned about how your information is used, you should check back at our website periodically or contact us at the contact points at the base of this statement.

This Policy is designed to assist you in understanding how SLGM Ltd collects, uses and safeguards the personal information you provide to SLGM Ltd via its various trading styles.

This privacy policy does not apply to parties that may be linked or associated with our website. Those website owners are responsible for the privacy of the information they collect and should be contacted directly for details of their privacy policies. SLGM Ltd does not rent or sell personal information about customers or customer lists to third parties outside of the agreed data transaction.

Calls to and from our dedicated call centre are recorded for compliance, training and monitoring purposes.

What information does SLGM Ltd collect?

We collect information from people who complete online forms or send us emails to subscribe to our email newsletter. This information is collected for business purposes. We keep records of information that you have provided which may identify you, such as your name, address and contact details which you enter in a form on our website; information that you have provided in the form of feedback or email; and your permission to use your personal information for marketing purposes. It is not compulsory for you to provide us with your personal information which we may have been requested from you for us to perform a service for you, however, without the specified information, we may not be able to fulfil your request or provide you with the service you need.

An outline of the data we typically hold is as below:

– Full Name.
– First line of address.
– Postcode.
– Contact number.
– Email address.
– Date of Birth.
– Basic insurance risk profile information such as no claims bonus and field experience etc.
– Renewal date of your policy.
– Basic risk profile information for filtering purposes.
– How we obtained your details in the first place.

Why is my data being collected?

We collect your data in order to be able contact you as well as to filter your risk profile to an appropriate broker that will be able to help you the most. Without collecting your data, we may not be able to contact you or allocate you to an appropriate broker.

What we do with data

– We pass this information on to our partners so they can provide their quotation.
– We may from time to time send you promotion emails offering you services we feel you may be interested in.
– We may email you to ascertain how happy you were with the service we provided you.
– We may use your data to contact you at the time of your renewal to see if we may help you again.

How is my data protected?

Your data is protected from the first instance of integration with us. We use secure and SSL Encrypted sites (Green Padlock in the URL Bar), that ensures your data is safe at the stage of implementation and transferring into our system.

All staff have restricted privileges that prevent the downloading of data.

The system we use is FLG. FLG is a security conscious CRM system to which we keep IP locked only allowing access from with the SLGM Ltd registered office.
FLG is located within the UK.

Our phone system is Hostcomm. Hostcomm is an IP locked system that only receives your chosen telephone number and Lead ID number. This means you cannot be identified with just the phone system and require FLG in conjunction.

We also block access to transfer sites in order to prevent data movement via the internet.

In the event senior management are required to download data for backup purposes. It will be stored on a secure hard drive locked within an onsite safe and not removed from site.

At the point of referring you to a broker, we also send an email with your details to the relevant broker via secure email transfer protocols.

SLGM have GDPR compliant agreements with the brokers we work with that break down the ‘Data Controller’ and ‘Data Processor’ roles and responsibilities. As the ‘Data Controller’, SLGM have agreements in place that prevent the broker as the ‘Data Processor’ from passing your data to third parties. In the event you take out a policy with the broker, they take on the role of ‘Data Controller’ where they become fully liable for your data and SLGM’s liability stops.

How long do SLGM hold data?

We will hold your data indefinitely unless you submit a request to be forgotten or have your details deleted.

As per GDPR guidelines, we hold the right to refuse requests that we consider non-legitimate, manifested or excessive. SLGM also hold the right to charge for time spent handling your request should we feel it un-required. This charge will need to be paid upfront and is set at 2 hours at £55 an hour.
