Warranty Assist, a leading UK Dealer Warranty Support company, has gained its accreditations with the Approved Vehicle Warranty Products Motor Industry Code of Practice operated by The Motor Ombudsman’s Chartered Trading Standards Institute.
The dispute resolution finder that operates a comprehensive solution based scheme now has 12 official warranty providers signed up.
Introduced in 2009, the initiative is designed to drive up standards past those required by law when it comes to warranty claims within the automotive industry. This includes things such as Guaranteed Asset Protection (GAP Insurance), return to invoice and service contracts amongst many other areas.
The code of practice details that all those who sign up must make commitments to customers including a simple claims process, clear and precise information and accurate and honest advertising.
Signing up to such schemes also elevates the benefits of motor traders who use their warranties passing on these benefits to their customers. The Warranty Assist Scheme gives claimants the ability to use an independent third party in the event they can not conclude a resolution with their motor trader.
